Atuel River

Born in the Andes mountain range, the Atuel River is the longest river in Mendoza. The high walls of the river canyon, located just southwest of San Rafael, have been chiseled out by time and are splashed with lush vegetation.

The Atuel River Canyon is a major tourist attraction, and here you will find hotels, white water rafting and canoeing, camping sites and lodges, country clubs, horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, diving and a host of other recreational activities.
